Skat class Assault Landing Hovercraft '634' by Hawkeye UK
This is a Project 1205 'Skat' Assault-Landing Hovercraft. In service they were given the NATO codename 'Gus'.
This example is No D-357, coded '634'.
It was built at Feodosia in 1976 with a yard number of '217', it was originally in the Black Sea Fleet before moving to the Caspian Flotilla, making it a suitable companion the the Caspian Sea Monster it now lives alongside.
It was finally retired in June 2005 and went on permanent display here in 2007.
